As always, I cannot say enough about Jessica’s quality as an editor! She’s thorough, communicative, and deadline-oriented. I love that she provides a mix of grammatical editing, questioning certain decisions from a stylistic perspective, and providing feedback on what she finds to be great phrases, setups, etc., in the book. We’ve collaborated on five books now, and it would feel strange to publish a future work without her in the process. Thank you, Jessica!!!
— Monica McCallan, line-editing client, best-selling, award-winning author of THEN & NOW, TAPPING INTO LOVE, WHEN I’M WITH YOU, and more

Line-editing, copyediting, and proofreading services are ideal for the author on the cusp of publication. Hiring Hatch Editorial Services gives you the following advantages:

  • Line-Editing: Whether it's adding dialogue tags, nixing flowery adjectives, or reintroducing that flashback into the main narrative, your manuscript will be revised with suggestions to improve pacing and narrative flow.

  • Copyediting/Proofreading: Your manuscript will be corrected for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. I proofread and copyedit according to the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, which are commonly used in book publishing. I can also revise according to UK English grammar and spelling, as needed.

  • Fact-checking: For manuscripts that rely on historical, scientific, political, or other facts, I will make note of any factual errors.

You are a superstar and the grammatically perfect wind beneath my wings.
— Jenn Vonhagen, Ambidustrious
In many ways, her proofreading work was like receiving a second copy edit with a strong understanding of the Chicago Manual of Style. I would absolutely work with Jessica again and am glad that I chose her for the project.
— Nate Thurgood, proofreading client, author of REACH
